Expression of wish form

03 February 2021

In 2020, a change was made to the benefits available from the Plan should you die in service. Your dependants or nominees may now receive a lump sum equal to 12 times your Pensionable Pay plus a lump sum equal to the value of your own contributions.

In the event of your death, the Trustees are responsible for deciding who to pay your pension to. You can help the Trustees with this decision by completing an expression of wish form. This is the most effective way to ensure your loved ones receive your pension when you die.

Your personal circumstances may change over time, as may your wishes regarding who you would like to receive your pension. It is therefore important that you keep your expression of wish form up to date at all times.

Out-of-date forms that do not match up with a member’s wishes when they die can cause lengthy investigations for the Trustees and delay payments to your loved ones.
