State Pension changes

03 February 2021

The State Pension is a regular payment from the Government that most people can claim when they reach State Pension age (SPA). Currently, you could receive a maximum of £9,110.40 a year (or £175.20 a week) providing you meet the requirements.

Following a review, the Government has announced plans to make the changes to the dates you can claim your State Pension benefits. Previously, the SPA was due to increase to 68 between 2044 and 2046, but the Government has decided to make the changes sooner.
