Your Trustee

The Trustee takes care of the Heinz UK Pension Plan and acts in the best interests of its members and beneficiaries. Their main responsibility is to ensure the Plan is run in accordance with the Trust Deed and Rules, as well as pensions legislation. The Trust Deed outlines their powers and duties, while the Rules explain who can be a member and how contributions and benefits work.

What the Trustee does

The Trustee has a number of important responsibilities, including:

  • Investing the Plan’s assets in a way that aims to deliver long-term security for members’ benefits.
  • Making sure benefits are paid correctly and on time, in line with the Rules of the Plan.
  • Maintaining accurate records and proper accounts, which supports transparency and good governance.
  • Appointing professional advisers and investment managers to help manage the Plan and make informed decisions.

There are two types of Trustee:

  • Company-appointed, selected by Kraft Heinz.
  • Member-nominated, chosen by members of the Plan.
